Enclosed in this newsletter is your annual client survey. It’s not mandatory for you to complete it but it is a great opportunity to have your say!

We value the feedback and even the complaints we receive from our clients, volunteers or other people involved in our service. That’s how we improve!

We have just completed collecting our 2026 Volunteer surveys. We received some great suggestions for some small changes we can make to our systems to help our deliveries be better for you!

If the survey prompts you to consider an issue you haven’t raised with us, please contact the office so we can help find a solution. The survey will take just a few minutes to complete and we would really love to hear from you! (more…)

Hello everyone and all the best for a happy, healthy and peaceful 2026.

We have officially entered a new era in Aged Care in Australia.  The new Aged Care Act and all of the associated standards and regulations came into effect on 1st November 2025.

Service Providers been bombarded with a range of new requirements that are covered in the new Aged Care Act. All of these changes are designed to ensure a high quality of service with consumer choice and safety being at the centre of all service arrangements.

We hope you can bear with us in coming months as we endeavor to update all our documentation in accordance with these new expectations under the Aged Care Act.

Hello everyone, New England is doing what it does best – Autumn. We are very lucky to enjoy this beautiful display every year in our region.

AUMOW is navigating its way through a period of significant change in the Aged Care sector. We are already in the process of making changes where we can, but we are also waiting for more information and clarification from the Department of Health & Aged Care so we know exactly what we need to do.

We will pass on whatever information we can but only when it is clear, concise and preferably not going to change! This is an evolving process.

Hello everyone,

Wow – it’s been HOT!! Please note the article about hydration – one of the most important things we need to do daily is to ensure that we are sufficiently hydrated. This is fundamental to how a healthy body functions and I cannot stress enough how important it is. Please speak to your GP if you struggle to maintain your fluid intake.

Hello everyone,

We are now a few weeks into our Winter Menu and we hope you are enjoying a few different meal options in this menu with a few extra winter-warmers on offer.

It has been extremely busy as we head into another winter here. We have lots of new clients on service – some of you may have noticed that because some of our delivery runs are a little longer, your meal delivery times might be slightly altered as well. We do apologise if this has caused any inconvenience for you.

We try our best to organize the deliveries in a logical manner so they are grouped geographically for our volunteer drivers but sometimes we may get a group of new clients who are all in the same part of town and this will always impact our delivery schedule.

Hello everyone,

We hope all our clients are enjoying the menu change and a few different meals for the summer menu – including the very popular salads! Our Chef Rachael has done a wonderful job of putting the menu together once again.

It’s a big job to ensure an even spread of different meal types without leaving off the favourites such as our roast meals or Silverside!
