Anyone can access Meals on Wheels but to receive the subsidised rate you will need to be referred through MyAgedCare under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme:
You may be eligible under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme if you are:
- having trouble doing everyday activities without help, and
- need support to live independently in the community
and are:
- 65 years or older (50 years or older and identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person) or
- 50 years or older (45 years or older for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and on a low income, homeless or at risk of being homeless.
This depends on what you order.
A main hot meal or salad is $8 and a package (which includes dessert & juice) is $9.50.

We think it’s pretty good! We try to stick to popular and traditional “meat and three veg” style meals – nothing too fancy. But we also strive for flavour and nutrition in all our meals so you know you are getting a good hearty meal. We also offer the smaller portioned “mini meal” if you are not a big eater.
Yes absolutely. At least 50% of our menu is Gluten Free and every day we offer a vegetarian option.
We can provide appropriate meals for diabetics and to ensure safe food preparation for allergies as well.

Yes you do. Food Safety regulations will not permit us to leave hot food unattended.
We are in a pavilion at the Armidale Showgrounds.
Follow Dumaresq street east and we are the first building on your left when you enter the Showgrounds.
There is ample parking and ramp access to the building.
Yes, we can cater for up to 50 comfortably and have done luncheons, meetings and 2 course dinners.
