Springtime again!
Our Summer Menu will start in a few week’s time which means once again we will be offering our salads on Tuesdays and Thursdays in addition to the other new meal choices. We hope you enjoy the change in meal options and hope you might try one of the delicious salads as a refreshing food option for a hot summers’ day.
On the front page I have referred to Aged Care Standard #1 which is part of a set of Standards now in place across the sector. This first one is about how we recognize each client as an individual by respecting their identity and choices. For Meals on Wheels services this usually revolves around offering a range of meal choices to suit different tastes and preferences. We do our best not to just offer one or two meals that everyone must eat because this doesn’t celebrate each of our customers as an individual person. We try our best to offer every one a range of suitable options so they have a better food experience with us.
We will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 3pm on Monday 16th November. All Members of the organization will be sent meeting papers and Annual Report shortly. Please note numbers will be restricted this year. If you have any questions about the Annual Report please call me.
We are very excited to have been able to purchase a brand new double freezer to display meals available for our regular ‘pick-up’ clients to stock up their home supplies. The older freezer now displays our soups along with some tempting desserts!
